PATHWAYS TO POLITICS
Women Making a Difference!

From the Garden State to D.C., forty-one girls explored the powerful roles of women in politics, leadership, and community activism—past and present.

WELCOME to "Pathways to Politics"

Hello and welcome to the "Pathways to Politics" website. Check out the Recent Updates page to see what pages have changed since your last visit and to see what's new. Otherwise, have fun looking around and learning about the "Pathways to Politics" STUDIO 2B destination!

What is "Pathways to Politics" all about?
"Pathways to Politics" is a STUDIO 2B destination that allowed forty-one "movers and shakers" to get a firsthand look at the impressive roles of women in politics—then and now, while staying in a dorm on the beautiful campus of Douglass College. In the Garden State, these girls toured Rutgers University's Center for American Women and Politics. They joined lively discussions on leadership training and team building and visited the new Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Another thing these girls did was spend three exciting days in our nation's capital, and they were also a part of an award-winning program on women in politics. They had a chance to talk politics with community activists, elected and appointed officials, and to see community service in action. The girls also crossed the Hudson to Hyde Park, New York, to honor the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill, and when they were finished politicking, a day of fun in the sun at the Jersey shore awaited them.
