Bigger
Outward Bound USA is the nation's leading nonprofit adventure-education organization.
Outward Bound offers special courses designed and limited to Girl Scouts. These courses offer an incredible opportunity to share an intense wilderness experience with other Girl Scouts across the country!
Why Outward Bound?
On an Outward Bound wilderness adventure you'll meet challenges both physical and mental and return with a deeper knowledge of yourself and the world in which we live. You'll develop self-reliance, responsibility, confidence, and compassion. All of the Outward Bound programs and courses cultivate teamwork and environmental and community stewardship.
A Little More Info…
Outward Bound gives you adrenaline-rushing sports while expanding on Girl Scout values. Immerse yourself in a physical challenge event, service project, solo, and team building activities. Leave with knowing you mastered a new sport, made close friends, and helped others along the way.
Sea kayak on the ocean or rock climb huge granite slabs. Sail a boat through narrow waterways or dogsled through the winter wilderness. With all the choices Outward Bound offers Girls Scouts, you will be sure to find something you haven't done before!
(And be sure to view all the Outward Bound destinations offered in 2004 here or you can view summaries of each of them on one of these two pages: Page 1 and Page 2.)
More Dough in Your Pocket
The destinations sponsored by Outward Bound have special pricing. The application fee ($95) and the transportation fee ($150) have been waived for you!
Celebrating over 40 years of experiential education with more than 500,000 alumni, Outward Bound USA programs serve more than 60,000 young people and adults each year.
